Milad E Sherief Memorial (M.S.M.) College was entrenched by the late Al Haj P.K. Kunju Sahib, the legendary visionary whose name rings aloud in the educational, social and political rondure of central Travancore, as an accomplishment of his long-cherished dream of cultural progression of the impecunious, catachrestic, and ignoramus people of the precinct. The college, stationed in the inmost of the historic borough of Kayamkulam, was visualized to impart an influential drive to the socio-economical upliftment of the unprivileged multitudes through education.
